READS Collaborative is pleased to announce Ms. Amy Saraiva will be the new READS Academy Program Director for grades Preschool - 12+ effective July 1, 2025. She comes to READS Academy with over 20 years of special education experience. Her professional journey has included roles as Special Education Teacher, Assistant Principal, Assistant Administrator of Special Education, and Coordinator for Social-Emotional Learning within Stoughton Public Schools. Ms. Saraiva also has career experience as the Director of Employment Education for The Boston Higashi School and Adjunct Professor of Special Education for American International College.
Ms. Saraiva holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, a Master’s of Special Education: Severe Special Needs K-12 degree from Lesley University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies: Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University. She describes herself as a lifelong learner.
Ms. Saraiva has a passion for fostering a positive learning environment for all learners and faculty, maximizing student growth across all curricula and areas of personal development, and creating effective programs that address the complex needs of today’s student population.
