Welcome from READS Executive Director, Dina Medeiros!
It is an honor to lead READS Collaborative as the Executive Director. READS Collaborative has a strong history of providing a wide range of educational services to meet the unique needs of neighboring school districts, their students and families. We proudly serve over 30 school districts that include 20 member districts (https://www.readscollab.org/page/member-districts) to address the intensive and diverse needs of students PreK to grade 12+.
The READS Collaborative mission to provide creative, flexible solutions that promote the success and well-being of each child, adolescent and adult learner drives our ever-expanding public day programming and services.
Highly specialized therapeutic public day programming for students PreK to 12+ is available through the READS Academy Program which is located at 44-46 Bedford Street in Middleboro, and additional inclusive programming at the West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School. Students are provided with intensive support to address their social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
The READS Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program (DHH) is housed within our host district of Norton Public Schools for grades PreK to 12+ along with the opportunity for programming within Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School in Taunton, MA. The DHH program provides a wide range of services for its students from full inclusive programming with necessary supplemental services to fully substantially separate individualized instruction.
Within the last two school years (22-23 and 23-24), READS Academy along with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program graduated 22 students who went on to four-year and two-year colleges, the workforce, and had one graduate interested in the military.
In addition to public day school programming, READS Collaborative also provides an array of District Services to meet the needs of students, their families, and school personnel. Services include: Family Success Partnership, Assistive Technology Evaluations and Consultation; Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Assessments and Consultation; Adaptive Physical Education, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language evaluations. Consultation and services from an Audiologist and Teachers of the Deaf as well as Functional Listening Evaluations are also conducted through District Services. In addition, District Services assist districts in securing service providers when the need arises.
The READS Clinic remains a valuable resource. The clinic conducts a variety of evaluations such as Psycho-educational, Neuro-psychological, Risk Assessment, Personality/Psychological, Central Auditory Processing, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and other evaluations at the request of school districts.
Please take the time to explore our website for further details regarding our programming and services.
